Good questions
No. The model runs on your Mac. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no telemetry. The only network use is downloading the model file you picked, once.
Typeflo downloads it into ~/Library/Application Support/Typeflo/Models/. The default, Gemma 4 E2B, is about 3.3 GB; the larger E4B is about 5.2 GB. Or choose Apple's on-device model, which needs no download but needs Apple Intelligence switched on.
Accessibility lets Typeflo see the text before your caret and insert the words you accept. Input Monitoring lets it notice keys such as Tab and Esc. What you type is never logged.
Tab takes the next word, the backtick key takes the whole suggestion, and Esc dismisses it. Ctrl+backtick asks for a suggestion on demand, and Ctrl+Option+Cmd+backtick switches Typeflo off in the current app. You can rebind them all.
Text fields across your apps. Terminals, password managers and password fields are off by default, and you can switch off any app or website. Where a field cannot be read reliably, Typeflo shows nothing rather than guess.
Only if learning is on, and it says so when you first set it up. What it keeps stays on your Mac, encrypted, with a switch per app. Settings has a button to delete all of it.
Macs with Apple Silicon running macOS 26 Tahoe or later.
Turn off Launch at login in Settings, quit Typeflo from the menu bar and delete the app. To remove everything, also delete ~/Library/Application Support/Typeflo, which holds the downloaded models.
